Job Description: On a daily basis, a Port Engineer reviews initial ship’s force Automated Work Request (AWR) screening recommendations, routinely validates shipboard conditions through personal observation and evaluation, and works with the Regional Maintenance Center Type Desk Officer (RMC TDO) to broker work to appropriate maintenance availabilities.        

Education: B.S. Degree in Engineering      

Required Skills: Approximately six (6) years of commercial, Navy, or National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), experience as an operating engineer and/or port engineer; knowledge of, and experience in, commercial maritime maintenance. Desired Skills: Port engineer experience with Navy and SHIPMAIN processes is desirable. USCG Third Assistant Engineer or higher license preferred but not required.
