Port Engineers:
Port
Engineers are commercial marine engineering
professionals and experienced Navy “deckplate”
engineers who provide long-term continuity and expertise
to augment ship’s force in all areas of shipboard
maintenance for United States Navy surface combatants,
mine warfare and amphibious ships. Their principal
responsibility is to assist the ship’s Commanding
Officer in defining maintenance requirements and
managing maintenance to maximize combat readiness while
remaining within fiscal constraints.
T-Solutions Port
Engineers manage the entire life cycle maintenance
program for their assigned United States Navy ships
using database analysis, failure and inspection reports,
and personal observation techniques. These engineers
provide project management including: managing,
identifying and determining requirements; scheduling
ship maintenance; validating and deciding the “who,
what, when and where” ship maintenance work is needed;
and ensuring that maintenance work is accomplished in a
timely, efficient, and cost effective manner.
